The Southern Bus starts at Vancouver and progresses northward through Kelso, Centralia, Lacy and South Tacoma Park and Rides to the prisons and return. As need increases, we also offer van or bus transportation from Spokane, picking up loved ones along I-90 as they progresses westward.
In addition to free transportation and great fellowship, The Little Bus That Could Program also offers craft booths during certain designated Special Events…Mother’s Day, Back-to-School, and December Holiday Events. These booths are instrumental in affording moms special time with their loved ones….to share and create.
One of our ladies had her daughter attend special events on The Little Bus for the last four years of her incarceration. During that time we saw her 17 year old daughter grow into a wonderful young adult who ultimately had her daughter. Both attended our events faithfully. Today that mom and daughter live down the street from one another.

And every little craft mom, daughter and granddaughter made is now proudly displayed in that daughter’s apartment. This is just one story of many. Have no doubt; The Little Bus That Could is instrumental in reuniting moms with their families.
